Lorell Marin
Founder/CVO 

 M.Ed, LCSW, BCBA, DT 

Lorell Marin, M.Ed, LCSW, BCBA, DT, is the Founder and Chief Visionary Officer of LEEP Forward, a pediatric clinic that is innovative and focusing on a neurodiverse population. In 2001, she founded LEEP Forward. LEEP Forward is a  developmental therapy clinic and therapeutic preschool. Lorell has always honored each child’s and families' individual differences and believes your approach also needs to be tailored. There is not just one way to provide support. LEEP Forward  was fueled by her expertise in multiple approaches to create individual programs that allow each child to become curious, confident life long learners themselves. .

As a lifelong learner, Lorell has recently completed training to become an Autism Spectrum Disorder Specialist and Trauma-Informed Care practitioner. Lorell started her career as a special education teacher and has trained in a variety of additional certification programs, including level 2 DIR(R) practitioner, RDI (Relationship Development Intervention), The Play Project, Mendability, SCERTS, TEACCH, Social Thinking programs, and more. Lorell continues to demonstrate her commitment to ongoing learning and development. Her biggest teachers have always been her clients. 

Lorell prioritizes listening to her clients and honoring their journey. She knows that with the right support, the children she works with will take over the world, and that's a world worth creating.This evident with her latest endeavor which includes creating innovative programming that continues to support her clients as they grow, including teen and adult programming.

Dana H, MS, DT

Chief Clinical Executive Officer

Dana is a credentialed Developmental Therapist and has been a Lead Therapist at LEEP Forward since 2013 and has also worked as the Transition Coordinator. Dana received her professional DIR-FCD Model certificate in Emotional, Social, and Cognitive Development through the Profectum Foundation. She implements the DIR® Floortime model in the therapeutic preschool groups. Dana received her undergraduate degree in ElementaryEducation from the University of Wisconsin and taught in the public schools in Aiken, South Carolina. Dana returned to Chicago and graduated from The Erikson Institute with a Master’s in Science with a focus in working with children with special needs. 

Dana is a native of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and in her free time loves to explore the culinary world of Chicago with her husband, Harley.

Elena M.

Chief Operating Officer 

Elena is the Chief Operating Officer and Administrative Executive at LEEP Forward, where she is deeply committed to ensuring that families feel taken care of and supported throughout their journey. Her passion for the organization shines through in her dedication to nurturing both the staff and the community, making LEEP a special place for all involved.

Born in Chicago and a graduate of DePaul University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Elena brings a strong sense of compassion and expertise to her work. Drawing from her personal experience in advocating for her own son and years of helping families find the resources they need, she is a trusted advocate for the community. Outside of work, she enjoys spending quality time with her family and making her son laugh.

Shana, M. Ed, DT

Curriculum & Education Program Director

Shana has her Bachelors and Masters degrees in Special Education. Shana started working at Leep Forward in 2016, and worked as a lead teacher for 5 years at Leep Forward. For the past two years Shana has been a special education teacher in public and charter schools in Chicago. After two years away, she decided to return to her home at Quantum Leep Academy & Leep Forward! Shana is excited to return as the Program Director, and continue to use her passion of collaborating academics with the DIR and ABA models. Shana believes In order for any learning to take place, strong and meaningful relationships are the foundation. all learning can be fun and engaging! This past summer Shana got married in Chicago to her now husband, Michael! In her free time you might find Shana playing with her dog Rigby, spending time with her siblings, nieces, and nephews who live in Chicago, traveling as much as possible, and crafting of all kinds!

Nick R.

Community Outreach & Marketing Program Director

Nicholas was born in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, with three brothers and a large family. When it was time for college he didn’t go far, receiving his undergraduate degree at the University of Illinois-Chicago. Nicholas has also received his DIRFloortime® certificate promoting basic functional emotional development and higher functional development through International Council on Development and Learning (ICDL).

He first became a part of the LEEP family in 2013 by volunteering his free time, but it didn’t take long before he realized this work was his true passion and joined the team full time. Nicholas has moved and explored all across the states, living in both California and Boston working with all ages from infants to young adults but always seems to make it back to his true home, Chicago. One of Nicholas’s favorite quotes is, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy” and loves to bring the fun, joy and play into every group and activity he is a part of!

Leigh M, MS OTR/L 

Experiential & Engagement Director

Leigh received her Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Therapeutic Studies and Occupational Therapy in a 5-year accelerated program at Boston University.  After earning her Master’s degree, Leigh moved back to Chicago for her clinical fieldwork rotations. Though pediatrics was her original passion, Leigh wanted to gain experience working with a variety of populations and spent the first 5 years of her practice working with adult and geriatric populations in hospitals, inpatient rehabs and skilled nursing facilities. 

 

Leigh joined the LEEP team in 2017 and has worked her way up from an occupational therapist to a senior occupational therapist and most recently has transitioned into the role of Clinical Director. During her time at LEEP, Leigh has learned and accomplished so many things! She loves working with and learning from a multidisciplinary team approach and has focused her continuing education on sensory based movement disorders. In addition, Leigh has a passion for sensory friendly and inclusive design within homes and businesses and has enjoyed helping families design sensory play rooms within their homes.  

 

In her spare time, Leigh enjoys exercising, interior design, spending time with family and friends, and traveling the world!

Nico S, MA, MSW, BCBA, LCSW

Social Worker/Clinical Supervisor (Mental Health Department Head)

Nico was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago. He then moved into the city of Chicago to attend the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) for both his undergraduate degree in psychology and his master’s degree in social work. Nico has extensive experience working with children with diverse needs in multiple settings including client’s homes, therapeutic clinics, and in-patient psychiatry. After working in these settings throughout his education and post graduation, Nico decided to further pursue his education within Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and complete an additional master’s degree in ABA through Arizona State University where he graduated and became board certified behavior analyst (BCBA) in 2021.

 
Nico currently provides both social work and ABA services to children individually and within groups at Quantum Leep Academy where he continues to enjoy supporting children and their families achieve their goals.

Corrine P, MS, OTR/L 

Occupational Therapist

Corrine grew up in East Lansing, Michigan, where she attended Michigan State University. After graduating from MSU with a Bachelors in English, Corrine moved to Chicago to teach in Chicago Public Schools. Corrine received her Masters in Occupational Therapy from University of Illinois at Chicago in 2021 and began her career as an OT. 
 

As an Occupational Therapist, Corrine strives to use a neurodiversity affirming approach to help clients and families accomplish their personal goals. Corrine particularly enjoys participating in play-based therapy that incorporates the clients' own interests and strengths. In her spare time, Corrine enjoys playing board games and snuggling with her cats.

Zoey Z, MOT OTR/L 

Occupational Therapist 

Zoey was born and raised in the great city of Chicago. She moved to St. Louis where she attended Washington University in St. Louis for her undergraduate and graduate studies, earning her Masters in Occupational Therapy in 2022. After earning her Master's, Zoey moved back home to Chicago and has worked in pediatrics ever since. She has a passion for providing client-centered and strengths-based therapy to meet clients where they’re at and to help them reach their fullest potential. Zoey’s areas of interest include sensory processing and integration, fine motor skills, and executive functioning.

 

In her free time, Zoey enjoys spending time outdoors, crocheting, and trying new restaurants in the city.

Jenae M, MOT OTR/L 

Occupational Therapist 

Jenae grew up in Eastern Iowa before moving to Omaha, Nebraska to attend the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She then completed her Masters of Occupational Therapy at Nebraska Methodist College in 2021.

 

Jenae is passionate about building trusting therapeutic relationships and meeting each child where they are. She values play, children’s strengths, and natural curiosity as the foundation for learning. Jenae has experience in sensory based feeding therapy, aquatic therapy, and motor praxis skill development where she enjoys being able to support and create an individualized sensory-safe environment.

 

She recently relocated to Chicago and is excited to be joining the LEEP Forward team! In her free time she enjoys reading, spending time with friends and family, thrifting and learning new hobbies.

Brianna G, PT, DPT

Physical Therapist 

Brianna grew up in Chicago, Illinois and just recently moved back from St. Louis, Missouri to continue her career as a physical therapist. She obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science with a minor in Education and went on to get her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Saint Louis University. Brianna started her career as a physical therapist in an Assisted Living Facility and then transitioned into the school districts around the St. Louis area. Brianna loves challenging kiddos with gross motor activities and helping them maximize their potential. In addition to work, Brianna enjoys concerts, rollerblading, spending time with friends and family, and all things Disney.

Aneli U, MS, CCC-SLP

Speech and Language Pathologist 

Aneli was born in Miami, Florida, and is new to Chicago. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Communication Science and Disorders from Florida State University and her Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Florida Atlantic University.

​

 

She has experience working with children of all ages and has a special interest in feeding therapy and expressive and receptive language disorders. Aneli has worked in outpatient hospital settings and has also had the opportunity to shadow in the NICU. She is excited to join LEEP Forward to collaborate with other disciplines and build meaningful relationships with students.

​

 

Outside of work, Aneli enjoys hot yoga, traveling, and exploring her new city. She is looking forward to being part of the LEEP Forward team!

Allison L, MS, CCC-SLP

Speech and Language Pathologist 

Allison grew up in the suburbs of Chicago. She received her Bachelor's degree at Northern Arizona University and her Master's degree in Speech Pathology at Marquette University, where she went on to receive her CCC's. Allison's past experiences including, working in Early Intervention and with children aged 2-15 in outpatient settings. She has experience in supporting children with their expressive, receptive, and pragmatic language skills through individual sessions and social group settings.

​

 

Allison is excited to join LEEP and believes in the importance of supporting functional communication and building a strong, positive language experience. She is looking forward to supporting the students in every way she can. In her free time you can find her reading a book, at a concert, or simply on a walk around the neighborhood.

Lindsey G, MS, CCC-SLP

Speech and Language Pathologist 

Lindsey is originally from Indiana and moved to Chicago in 2022. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology at Indiana University and then went on to achieve her Master’s in Science in Communication Disorders at Governors State University. She is thrilled to join the LEEP team as a Speech-Language Pathologist! Her clinical experience has focused on supporting neurodivergent children and young adults, with a special interest in play-based therapy, gestalt language processing, and AAC implementation. She is passionate about meeting each client where they are and using strengths-based approaches to foster meaningful communication.

In her free time, she enjoys yoga, getting lost in a good book, and exploring the city with friends!

Erin V, MS, BCBA

Clinical Supervisor/BCBA

Erin was raised in Grosse Pointe Park, Michigan. She attended Michigan State University where she received her bachelor's degree in Kinesiology in 2019. She then moved to Chicago to attend The Chicago School of Professional Psychology where she received a master's degree in ABA. In March of 2022, Erin passed her boards to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. After working at QLA as an AC for a little under a year, Erin continued her career at QLA as a BCBA. Throughout high school, college, and in her master's program she was lucky enough to have worked and volunteered in different settings and fields, such as hospitals, schools, clinics and camps, with children of all abilities and ages.

 

Erin has always loved working with children, and is so excited to continue that work at LEEP. In her free time, Erin loves to hangout with her dog Winnie, explore chicago with her friends, and watch MSU football!

Anthony P, MSW, LSW

Social Worker 

Anthony was raised in the suburbs of Chicago. This is where he discovered his passion for working with children. He volunteered as a youth leader for four years at his church. After high school he moved to Texas where he received his bachelor’s degree from Prairie View A&M University. Upon graduation he moved back to Chicago to pursue his master’s degree at Loyola University. Anthony has experience providing individual, family, and group mental health services to clients from a wide range of backgrounds. Nothing brings him greater fulfillment than bringing a smile to a child’s face and helping them navigate the struggles of everyday life.

 

In his free time Anthony likes to spend time in nature, hangout with his sisters, and read.

Lucy B, MSW

Social Worker 

Lucy was born and raised in the suburbs of Chicago. Her journey working with children with intellectual and developmental disabilities began in high school through recreational programming—an experience that quickly sparked a deep passion. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Media and Cinema Studies from DePaul University, but soon realized her true calling remained in working with children and families. This led her to pursue a Master of Science in Child Development at Erikson Institute, with a concentration in Infancy (birth to three). During her time at Erikson, Lucy completed a two-year internship in Developmental Therapy with the Center for Children and Families. After graduating, Lucy joined the research team at Shirley Ryan AbilityLab, where she worked on Project Corbett—a study focused on supporting infants and caregivers in addressing developmental delays through early neuromotor interventions. In 2023, Lucy returned to Erikson to pursue a Master of Social Work (MSW), graduating in 2025 with a concentration in Children, Adults, and Adolescents. She brings a wide range of experience to LEEP, including roles as a behavior technician in ABA Therapy, developmental therapy, camp counselor, and teaching assistant in schools.

​

 

Outside of work, Lucy enjoys spending time with her family and friends—especially her two-year-old nephew. She’s a fan of movies, TV, and music, and her perfect day involves reading and swimming by the lake.

Itzel R, MSW

Social Worker 

Itzel was born and raised on the North Side of Chicago, she earned both her Bachelor’s degree in Disability and Human Development (2023) and her Master of Social Work with a specialization in Children and Families (2025) from the University of Illinois Chicago.

​

 

Itzel brings a rich and diverse background to her work. During her undergraduate years, she supported neurodivergent children as a behavioral technician. In graduate school, she gained experience as a case manager at a refugee resettlement organization and later served as a clinical case manager in a pediatric dental clinic, where she worked closely with families navigating complex systems of care.

 

 

Itzel is passionate about creating inclusive, accessible, and affirming spaces for all, especially for neurodivergent individuals and communities who are vulnerable, oppressed, or historically marginalized. She approaches her work with empathy, cultural humility, and a strong commitment to social justice.

 

Outside of work, you can find Itzel at the gym, running along the lakefront, going on trips, and spending quality time with friends and family.

Ofelia R, MSW 

Social Worker

Ofelia was born and raised in Chicago, near Rogers Park. She graduated from Northeastern Illinois University (NEIU) with both a BSW and MSW, and is a licensed social worker (LSW). During her MSW program, Ofelia interned at an agency where she ran skills groups for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). During grad school, she was a mental health therapist for children and adolescents. Ofelia has always been passionate about working with children and adolescents. Before completing her BSW, Ofelia had also worked at a daycare and as a full-time nanny.

Outside of work, Ofelia enjoys being in the kitchen. She enjoys making new dishes and trying out new flavors. During the pandemic, she also picked up baking as a new hobby. She likes visiting different coffee shops and exploring new restaurants. Did I mention she is a foodie? She also enjoys reading mental health related memoirs. Although she may not be very artistic, she enjoys anything related to arts and crafts and playing instruments (and also going to concerts).

Yvonne C, LCSW 

Social Worker

Yvonne grew up in Maryland and moved to Chicago in 2021 to be near friends and family. She graduated from the University of Michigan with a Bachelor's in Sociology, focused on Law, Justice, & Social Change. Yvonne completed her MSW at the University of Maryland, completing internships in residential crisis and domestic violence mental healthcare. Yvonne has experience providing individual and group psychotherapy services to children and families in outpatient, residential, community, and therapeutic day school settings. She also taught literacy in Detroit Public Schools for 3 years. Yvonne is certified in Psychological First Aid, and Disability Inclusion & Accessible Design. She is passionate about social justice and creating therapeutic spaces where clients feel valued and supported. Yvonne has facilitated racial development groups, parent guidance sessions, and creative writing therapy groups. She loves working in pediatrics and supporting the intersection bewteen education, community, and therapy.

In her free time, Yvonne likes reading, baking, puzzles, and going on tour with her favorite band!

Rachelle K, DT 

Clinical Supervisor 

Rachelle grew up in southeast Michigan and received her bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from University of Toledo and her master’s of Education from Ashland University. Prior to moving to Chicago, she lived in Columbus, Ohio where she taught 1st grade for 9 years years and worked as an Intervention Specialist through the Ohio Autism Scholarship Program for 2 years. As an Intervention Specialist she worked 1:1 in the homes for school aged children with Autism. When Rachelle moved to Chicago, IL she began working at Leep Forward as a Lead Therapist while pursuing her Developmental Therapist credential. She is now a Developmental Therapist Clinical Supervisor for Leep Forward and happy to be a part of the Leep Family! She enjoys working collaboratively with Leep’s comprehensive team to support the children and their families at Leep Forward.

 

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family and friends, traveling, and hiking.

Alyse S, BCBA

Clinical Supervisor/ ABA Department Head

Alyse grew up in the western suburbs of Chicago and earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and Health Promotion from Miami University of Ohio. Following her undergraduate studies, she returned to Chicago to further her education, pursuing a Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) at Ball State University. She successfully completed her master’s program and shortly thereafter achieved her Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification. 

 

Alyse brings a wealth of experience from both school and clinical settings, working with children and young adults of all abilities. She was inspired to join Leep Forward because of its innovative and dynamic practice model, which aligns with her passion for redefining ABA therapy beyond traditional, table-based methods. By integrating play-based strategies, she nurtures meaningful connections and crafts personalized interventions that cater to each individual’s needs. Her dedication to this progressive approach has shaped her into a compassionate, versatile, and highly effective BCBA. 

​

Outside of work, Alyse loves spending quality time with her family by hosting family holidays, traveling to new and familiar destinations (New Buffalo, Michigan being a favorite!), and discovering all that the city has to offer alongside her husband and 18-month-old daughter.

Mikayla O, MA, ATR-P

Counselor Art Therapist 

​Mikayla O’Neill is a recent masters graduate of Adler University and is currently working as a counselor and registered art therapist at Quantum Leep Academy/Leep Forward. With a background in theatrical costume design and a degree in psychology, Mikayla brings a unique blend of creativity and clinical insight to her practice. She is passionate about using art as a healing tool and often incorporates mindfulness-based approaches to support her clients on their journey toward growth and self-discovery.

Aria K.

Leads Coordinator 

Aria was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota, with her three younger siblings. After completing high school, she ventured to Chicago to pursue a BA in Psychology at Roosevelt University. There, Aria immersed herself in the vibrant academic community and developed a passion for learning more about human behavior. She sought to apply her knowledge and experiences in ways that positively impact others. Aria started at LEEP as an assistant clinician, then stepped up as a classroom lead facilitator, and now she’s taking on the role of Leads Coordinator.

 

Aria is thrilled to spread playfulness and support positive collaborations across all of our classrooms! In her free time, Aria enjoys spoiling her two cats, biking by the lake, spending time with friends, and taking trips to see her family.

Kristell B. 

Medical Biller 

Kristell best known as Kris, Originally from Honduras, she moved to Chicago, where she now calls home. With 9 years of experience in the healthcare industry as a medical biller, she has developed a strong expertise in navigating the complexities of medical billing and insurance processes. Outside of work, she is a proud mother of two kids, and a pet owner to a dog and two cats. In her free time, she enjoys biking, exploring the city, and spending quality time at the park with her family.

Heather V.

Administrative  Operations Coordinator

Heather grew up in southwest Wisconsin and has made Chicago her home for over seven years. She received her Bachelor's Degree in English and Spanish from the University of Wisconsin before working as a paralegal in immigration and environmental law for several years. Through this experience, she discovered her love of working with people from all walks of life. Heather has enjoyed working with children volunteering in after school programs in the past, and is excited to spend more time in an academic environment at Quantum LEEP Academy. 

 

In her spare time, Heather loves crafting including knitting, crocheting and sewing, as well as hanging out with her cat/best friend, Errol.

Jada B.

Classroom Lead Facilitator 

Jada was born in Cleveland, Ohio however moved to Chicago during grade school. Jada attended The University of Michigan in Ann Arbor where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a concentration in Developmental Psychology. Jada has always loved working with children since she started babysitting in her teen years. Jada has always had a passion for working with children, whether it is volunteering at a preschool or becoming involved in her church’s youth group. After college, Jada worked in the Chicago public school system as a Teacher’s aide working with children from preschool through elementary school. In the future, Jada plans to go back to school to earn her master’s degree in Psychology and continue working in the behavioral health field.

Heaven C.

Classroom Lead Facilitator 

Originally from Chicago, Heaven grew up in St. Paul, MN. She returned to Chicago to attend school at Loyola University Chicago, where she obtained her BS in Psychology with a minor in Psychology of Crime and Justice. She is currently continuing her studies at Loyola in the MS Criminal Justice Program. Heaven has always enjoyed working with children and has done so through volunteering at her local Boys & Girls Club, as well as her past internship working with Cook County Juvenile Probation. She hopes to continue her passion by working with and building relationships with the children at LEEP Forward!

 

In her free time, Heaven enjoys reading, playing with her dog, Deuce, and spending time with her siblings.

Caroline L.

Classroom Lead Facilitator 

Caroline grew up in Tennessee where she completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology at the University of Memphis. After graduation, she decided to move to Chicago where she pursued her second Bachelor of Arts at DePaul University where she graduated in Criminology. Before coming to LEEP Forward, Caroline worked with kids in an arts and crafts setting, creating a playful yet instructional environment for them to learn and express themselves in. Since then, she has always had a strong passion for working with kids and getting to explore how they see the world! She hopes to one day use her education and experience to work further in helping with the protection and rights of children in the criminal justice system.

 

In her free time, Caroline loves to read (and is working towards her goal of having her home certified as an Illinois library), travel, work on her second novel, hang out with her crazy puppy named Nova, and spend time with her friends.

Izzie L.

Classroom Lead Facilitator 

Isabelle or Izzie grew up in Skokie. She received a bachelor's in Neuroscience from Baylor University in Waco, TX this past May. Izzie has always had a passion for working with children and has worked with different age groups throughout her life whether it be volunteering at a summer camp or tutoring kids one-on-one. She plans to further her education after taking a gap year and hopes to pursue a master's in behavioral analysis and become a BCBA.

 

When Izzie is not working, she likes to read, listen/play music, and bingeing shows.

Lea M.

Classroom Lead Facilitator 

Lea was born and raised in Illinois. Lea is passionate about helping the growth with her clients, and fostering meaningful relationships with clients and families. She is a firm believer of inclusion. After work Lea enjoys spending time with her son and family, listening to music, trying new activities, and looking for new recipes to cook.

Emily R.

Classroom Lead Facilitator 

Emily was born and raised in Springfield, IL. She received her B.A. in psychology at Illinois State University. Following graduation, Emily moved to Chicago with her four best friends, and now works at QLA!

 

She has worked in ABA for almost 2 years, and has worked with children for most of her life. She enjoys the beach, spending time with loved ones, playing piano, and collecting beach glass!

Kayla S.

Classroom Lead Facilitator 

Kayla grew up in the suburbs of Boston, before moving to Chicago for college. She graduated in 2023 from Loyola University Chicago with a Bachelor’s degree in sociology with a minor in social work. Her work at LEEP has further inspired her to go back to school to obtain a masters in social work.

 

Outside of work, Kayla loves spending time with friends exploring the city, reading, seeing live music and watching a good reality TV show.

Audrey T.

Audrey is originally from the suburbs of Detroit, Michigan. She moved to Chicago 5 years ago to attend the University of Illinois at Chicago. She obtained her degree in Applied Psychology with a minor in Disability and Human Development. During her undergrad, Audrey interned at an on campus-clinic providing intervention services to children with neurodevelopmental disabilities and fell in love with helping children further gain independent living skills and socio-emotional skills through play. Next year, she will start her doctoral program and further pursue her dream of opening her own clinical practice focusing on play therapy.

 

When Audrey is not at LEEP, you can find her exploring the city, checking out cool restaurants, spending time reading in her hammock, and enjoying live music.

Lexi is from Champaign, IL and received her Bachelor's of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. She moved to Chicago last year to pursue a Master's in Counseling Psychology from the Chicago School of Psychology and found purpose and a newfound passion for working with children after working with the Non-Profit Chicago HOPES For Kids during her first year in Chicago. She is looking forward to working with both staff and children at LEEP Forward and making a positive impact. She also enjoys thrifting, the arts, and dancing!

Nathan C.

Assistant Clinician 

Originally from Memphis, Tennessee, Nathan moved to Chicago this year. He received his degree in Communication from the University of Memphis before studying behavior therapy such as ABA and becoming certified in DIR/Floortime. Because he grew up with differently abled family members, Nathan has always been passionate about taking the time to understand and communicate with people despite their individual differences. Nathan has been working as a child development clinician for 3 years in Los Angeles, California. Because of his experience with both ABA and Floortime, Nathan has diverse experience with clinical approaches that inform his perspective.

 

In his spare time, Nathan likes to cook, go to the cinema, spend time with his family, and play guitar.

Violenda was born and raised in Rogers Park so she's a Chicagoan through and through. She graduated from UIC with a BS in Integrated Health Science and a minor in Psychology, she would love to return to school for her masters in Clinical Psychology. But first, she wants to help the kids, being the eldest of 5, it just comes naturally to her. She would love the opportunity to use her education to help children feel seen and understood. 


In her free time, she's a huge romance bookworm and tapping into the fantasy world. She loves anything fitness related, tries new studios with friends and gets in the gym when she can. She spent her childhood dancing and she just got back into taking classes for fun.

Bayden is originally from Milwaukee, WI and moved to Chicago in 2018. He graduated from Columbia College Chicago, with a major in Music and a minor in Cultural Studies. Bayden has worked with children in the arts through Girls Rock! MKE, Willie Mae Rock Camp, and Deerfield Academy Summer Arts Camp.

In his free time Bayden enjoys reading books and comics and playing shows around Chicago with his band.

David grew up in the suburbs of Chicago, and has lived in the city for 8 years. He received his B.A. from Columbia College Chicago, and has developed his passion for relationship building, community creation, and leadership through his lifelong time as a performer and theatre artist. He is so honored to bring his experience facilitating structured play into the QLA team.

Outside of work, he enjoys yoga, making music, and taking trips to national parks.

Karla H.

Assistant Clinician 

Karla grew up here on the north side of Chicago in Albany Park. She graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in May 2023 with her Bachelor's in Rehabilitation Sciences with a minor in Disability and Human Development. During her undergrad, Karla took on many aquatic roles, such as a lakefront lifeguard, V.P. for the waterpolo club at UIC, and a swim instructor at the YMCA. After dedicating her time as a swim instructor, she found a passion for working with children. Karla hopes to learn + grow at QLA and, in the future, go back to school to further her education.

 

Outside of work, Karla spends her time at the gym or swimming. When she is not working out, she enjoys spending time with her friends and family, traveling, reading, or beinge-watcing Netflix.

Tori, originally from Denver, Colorado, attended the University of Colorado Boulder, where she earned her degree in psychology in 2022. After a few years in Denver, she moved to Chicago to experience a vibrant new city. Tori is currently in a master’s program in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) at the Florida Institute of Technology, with plans to become a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) by early 2026. With over two and a half years of experience working in ABA, Tori has helped children aged 2 to 10 years old reach their full potential. She’s enthusiastic about completing her graduate studies and continuing her work to support children’s growth and development.

After graduating from DePaul University, David returned to DePaul to obtain his master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Being a Chicago native, David has experience working with children in Chicago Public Schools under the Cities Mentor Project, working with kids in communities across Chicago as both a friend and a mentor. Working with LEEP for over two years, David currently runs the Happiness Committee, planning fun events for both staff and kiddos alike.

 

In his free time, David loves to exercise, write, play some pool, and play piano.

Will is originally from Little Rock, Arkansas, where he taught theater and improvisational comedy to kids. He moved to Chicago 11 years ago to further his theater and improv journey, and carries those skills forward in his work as a clinician to foster an environment of exploration and learning through play with a strong emphasis on listening and community.

Outside of his time at LEEP, Will works as a comedian, performer, writer, and game designer. His unique skill set continues to help him to connect with children, engage with their needs, and challenge them in fun and supportive ways.

Jae is originally from the north suburbs of Chicago and holds a Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Following 2 years working in corporate finance, he has decided to shift careers to a field where there are more opportunities to support others and help them grow to their fullest potential. Starting this Fall, he will be a graduate student at DePaul University in their Counseling program, pursuing a degree in clinical mental health counseling. Jae has also spent the last year volunteering as a Crisis Text Counselor.

 

In his free time, Jae loves spending time with family, doing word puzzles, listening to music, watching movies, traveling, and cheering on the Chicago Bears.

Erika is Chicago raised on the city's north side, and she plans to call Chicago home for the rest of her life. She graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 2019, earning a Bachelor's degree in Applied Psychology with a minor in Disability and Human Development. Currently, Erika is pursuing a Master of Science in Occupational Therapy at DePaul University, with an expected graduation date in 2026. She is balancing a schedule as a full-time student while also gaining hands-on experience through fieldwork, an internship with adult education at nonprofit organization, and working part-time as a Registered Behavioral Therapist at QLA.

 

In her free time, Erika enjoys exploring the city's popular dessert spots, experimenting with new recipes she finds online, and spending quality time with her friends and family.

Sebastian loves working with kids of all ages and has over 8 years working with children in both clinical and non-clinical spaces. Sebastian earned his Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Marquette University. He is currently finishing a Master’s in Child Development at the Erikson Institute, and is highly interested in the research space within the field. He specializes in supporting children from birth to age 4, with a focus on atypical development. 

 

Sebastain brings patience, creativity, and a caring approach to everything he does—whether it is assisting with learning, encouraging play, or supporting social and emotional development. He is looking forward to collaborating in maintaining a safe, enjoyable, and nurturing environment where kiddos can thrive and families can feel supported. He is so excited to be a part of the Leep Team and to support families in their journeys.

Morgan grew up in Cleveland, Ohio but moved to Illinois to go to North Central College in Naperville. She graduated in May of 2023 with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and a minor in Theatre. Immediately following graduation, she got experience in the Mental Health Field as an Intake Worker and in the Forensic Field as a Probation Intern. Morgan grew up in the Theatre community, and has experience working closely with children of all age ranges because she was a camp counselor and nanny growing up. She is currently working to get her Masters in Criminal Justice at Loyola. Morgan is excited for the opportunity to work closely with the children at LEEP Forward, and can’t wait to see how much they grow every day! 

In her free time, Morgan likes to binge watch her favorite shows, explore the city, and spend time with family and friends!

Quinn W.

Assistant Clinician 

Quinn grew up in Omaha, Nebraska, and moved to Chicago in 2019 where he completed his undergraduate studies in Psychology and Sociology. He has always had a passion for working with children as he formerly taught swim lessons, coached a youth recreational swim team, and has worked on and off as a nanny. After completing school, Quinn took a year off to further develop his skills as a care provider and is now enrolled in DePaul University's graduate program for Social Work. Currently, he is splitting his time between QLA and an internship that supports women transitioning out of homelessness on the West side of Chicago.

 

When he has the time, Quinn loves reading, buying records, and biking around the city. After completing school, he hopes to work toward his LSW and LCSW, where he will ultimately continue work in the field of pediatrics.

Assistant Clinician 

Sage was born and raised in Madison, Wisconsin, and has lived in Illinois for four years. She has a bachelor's degree from Knox College in French and International Studies. While at Knox, Sage volunteered with the Regional Office of Education, tutoring adults looking to get their GEDs. She also tutored fellow students and worked for the school's Title IX office. 

In her free time, Sage enjoys reading (and is always open to book recommendations!), gardening, and taking naps.
